Silvertown
The Silvertown Quays regeneration is the largest remaining brownfield site in the London Docklands area. The current outline planning permission was granted in 2014, which comprises 7 million sqft of mixed-use development, including 3,000 homes and the restoration of the Millennium Mills and the listed Silo-D.
Borough Engineering is honoured to be a part of the transformative Silvertown development, working alongside John Sisk & Sons, who serve as our valued client. This landmark project, centred around the historic Millennium Mills and Silo D, will deliver next-generation workspaces, thousands of new homes, and a dynamic hub for London’s Royal Docks, complete with shops, restaurants, bars, and a water sports centre.
As part of this ambitious regeneration, we are providing our expertise in delivering essential mechanical and electrical services. Our scope includes everything from design and coordination to installation and commissioning, ensuring that all systems are built to support the modern, sustainable infrastructure envisioned for this community.
Led by The Silvertown Partnership and managed by Lendlease, this project is backed by a unique collaboration of local communities, industry leaders, and the public sector, including the Greater London Authority (GLA), Royal Docks Team, London Borough of Newham, and Homes England.
